Opal PRO 19x60bw wash is a heavy-duty, all-weather IP65 LED moving head that combines Wash, Beam, and Bee Eye effects in a single versatile fixture. Engineered for professional touring, outdoor festivals, and complex installations, it delivers immense light output, robust mechanics, and flexible integration for demanding lighting designers.
Optics and LED Engine
At the core of the fixture is an array of 19 high-power 60W RGBW (4-in-1) LEDs, providing a total power consumption of 1050W. The motorized zoom system operates smoothly across a wide 4.5° to 43° range. At the narrowest 4.5° angle, the fixture acts as a punchy, well-defined Beam, while the 43° setting provides an even, edge-to-edge Wash.
A standout feature is the continuously rotating front lens, capable of bidirectional rotation to produce stunning kaleidoscopic Bee Eye effects. The color mixing system supports precise color temperature adjustment from 2800K to 8000K, while the 16-bit dimming system offers 65,536 levels of brightness with four selectable dimming curves (linear, square, inverse square, and S-curve) for perfectly smooth fade-outs.
Mechanics and Control
Built for precision, the moving head utilizes high-resolution stepper motors. The Pan movement covers 540° with a step accuracy of 2.11° and fine 16-bit tuning down to 0.008°. The Tilt movement spans 270° with a step accuracy of 0.86° and fine tuning of 0.0034°. Built-in encoders automatically correct the fixture’s position in case of accidental mechanical displacement.
The Opal PRO supports DMX512, RDM, and optional ArtNet protocols. It offers seven DMX channel modes ranging from basic 21CH/23CH setups to full individual pixel mapping in 78CH, 92CH, 97CH, and 99CH modes. A hybrid 11+76CH mode allows lighting operators to control movement via DMX while mapping pixels via ArtNet. For broadcast applications, the PWM frequency is adjustable from 1kHz to 64kHz, ensuring flicker-free operation on camera.
